DAY 01 : ARRIVAL DELHI
Garlanding on arrival with meeting and assistance at the airport. Our representative will meet to welcome and escort you by private chauffeur-driven transport to the Hotel. Whilst the room keys and check-in are organized, our representative will also hand over the “Welcome Folder” documents and brief you on the tour programme. This is the capital city of India and can be called as a major gateway to India. Delhi is one of the most important metropolitans in India, as it is the city of power. It has a very good combination of both modern, as well as ancient culture. In these 3000 years of its existence, there has been the origin of seven more cities, where the traditional Indian capital is. Strategic location, mixture of modern and Indian culture, rich history, medieval market, beside the modern ones etc are the main reasons for choosing it, as the seat of power. Delhi is a city waiting to be explored. It is also known as the Headquarters of Indian politics, as most of the heads of the Indian government and other political parties; reside here, including the Prime Minister, and President of the country. DAY 02 : DELHI
After breakfast combined city tour of Old & New Delhi, visiting Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Red Fort, made by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, Jama Masjid, the largest in India, It has three great gateways, four angle towers and two minarets constructed of alternating vertical strips of red sandstone and white marble. Chandni Chowk, this main street of Old Delhi is a colourful shopping bazaar, known as Chandni Chowk. It has very sharp contrast to the open, spacious streets of Delhi. Laxmi Narayan Temple, dedicated to Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and good fortune. India Gate, this 42ms high stone of triumph is a war memorial. It bears the names of 85,000 Indian army soldiers, who died in the campaigns of WWI. Rashtrapati Bhawan - This palace-like building is the official residence of the President of India and an interesting blend of Mughal and western architectural styles. Qutab Minar - The highest monument of India, Qutab Minar is 72.5 m high, tapering from 2.75 m in diameter at its peak, to 14.32 m at its base, and alternating angular and rounded flutings. Bahai Temple, or the Lotus Temple is a marvel of modern architecture. Set among pools and gardens, adherents of any faith can visit, pray, or meditate. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03 : DELHI - HARIDWAR (240 Kms. and takes approx.. 4 Hrs.)
After breakfast depart by surface to Haridwar. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Haridwar has with it a history that traces back to the mythology of Hinduism. It is the holiest of places in India. Situated on the bank of river Ganga, Haridwar enjoys a place of pride as one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in India. It is just the perfect place for nature lovers as the serene beauty of nature combines with the spiritual ambience to create a heavenly atmosphere. This is one of the four places where Kumbha Mela is organized. If you happen to be there during the time of the fair, you will be teased out of your thought by its sheer magnitude. Later visiting Temples of the city including Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi located on two different hills opposite each other ,Daksh Mahadev Temple - The ancient temple of Daksha Mahadev. Evening visit Har-Ki-Pauri - These sacred ghats are named after the Charan or Footprints of Hari (Vishnu) impressed on a stone. The reflection of golden hues of floral Diyas, in the river Ganga, is the most enchanting sight in the twilight, during the Ganga Arti Ceremony. It is the most important ghat on the river Ganga, where a holy dip is a must for every devotee. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04 : HARIDWAR - RISHIKESH - HARIDWAR (28 Kms and takes approx.. 1 Hrs.) One Way
Full day excursion of Rishikesh. After breakfast took a city tour visiting Lakshman Jhoola – legend says this bridge was built by Lord Rama. Today, a concrete one, by the same name, has replaced the rope bridge. Ram Jhoola is the other suspended iron bridge, recently constructed. Gita Bhawan - Founded in the early 50s, Gita Bhavan is an ashram that runs an ayurvedic dispensary and has a branch of the famous Gita press, Gorakhpur. Travanti Ghat - The Arati on the Triveni Ghat makes for an unforgettable experience. Barefoot, scores of devotees sit in rows on the steps of the ghat. As the sun begins to stem plating the river with its golden orange hue, a row of religious Mahants hold plates of flaming clarified butter, moving them in circular salutation to the river Ganges. Triveni Ghat - The Arati on the Triveni Ghat makes for an unforgettable experience. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 05 : HARIDWAR - DELHI - VARANASI
In time transfer to Delhi airport to board flight for Varanasi. On arrival meeting and assistance by our representative, welcome and escort you by a private transport and then transfer to Hotel and assist with check in Hotel. Varanasi - The city of Varanasi is situated along the west bank of the Ganges in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Called Banaras by the British, Varanasi is an important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. The city finds mention in the great epics of Mahabharata and Ramayana. It was a flourishing trade center when Buddha came to Sarnath, about 10 kilometres away, to preach his first sermon in 500 BC. The renowned American novelist Mark Twain once wrote,” Banaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together.” Right from the ancient times, Varanasi has stood as a symbol of Hindu renaissance and preserved the rituals and traditions of Hindu philosophy. Down the ages, pilgrims from distant lands come to Varanasi in search of divine blessings. Evening boat ride. and the glittering Aarti ceremony at the Ganges. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 06 : VARANASI
Start your morning on a delightful note in your trip to Varanasi with visits to several ghats by sailing on boats. The early morning boat ride is perhaps the best way to get an insight into the Hindu pilgrimage as you get to see pilgrims bathe that literally wash off their sins. Have a quick walk in the by lanes of Varanasi after the boat ride to get a glimpse of a typical day’s proceedings. Later, the city tour of Varanasi visiting temples form the major source of attraction in this ancient city. The banks of the Ganges, considered to be a sacred river by the Hindus, are the center of much of the religious activity that occurs in the city. The ghats built along the banks of the river for such religious activity also form a major source of attraction here. Some of the other interesting places to visit around the city are Alamgir Mosque, Durga Temple, Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Mata temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Banaras Hindu University, and the Archaeological Museum. DAY 07 : VARANASI - PRAYAGRAJ (120 Kms and takes approx.. 3 Hrs.)
After breakfast depart by surface to Prayagraj. On arrival check in at Hotel. Prayagraj then see the Sangam of the three rivers - Ganga, Yamuna & Saraswati. Sangam - overlooked by the eastern ramparts of the fort, wide flood plains and muddy banks protrude towards the sacred Sangam. At the point at which the brown Ganges meets the Greenish Yamuna, Covers the other spot in Allahabad like Bada Hanuman Temple, Anand Bhavan - one of the country’s best-running museums in memory of Jawaharlal Nehru. Swaraj Bhawan -the house where the former Prime Minister of India, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, was born. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 08 : PRAYAGRAJ - AYODHYA (168 Kms and takes approx.. 4 Hrs.)
After breakfast depart by surface to Ayodhya. On arrival check in at Hotel. Later in the evening we have aarti ceremony over river Saryu. As twilight descends, Swarga Dwar Ghat comes alive with rhythmic chants and devotional fervor. Witness the enchanting evening Aarti Ceremony here, one of the most profound spiritual experiences in Ayodhya. It’s a stroll along the tranquil Sarayu River ghats, where you can take part in a soul- soothing aarti ceremony. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 09 : DEPART AYODHYA
After breakfast half day sightseeing tour visit Ayodhya, The Birthplace of Lord Rama, visit the major attractions of Ayodhya are the Ram Janmabhoomi (birthplace of Lord Rama) where he spent most of his childhood, Lakshman Ghat, Kala Ram Temple, Kanak Bhavan Temple, Nageswara Temple, and other temples and several Jain shrines. Later transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
